Est. 1923 · Park Road, Worsbrough
Founded in 1923 as Worsbrough Bridge St James, the club was born out of the South Yorkshire coalfields to give the colliers of Barnsley a team to call their own. For over a century the Briggers have been a pillar of their mining community, playing at their historic Park Road home.
After more than a hundred years of football and 35 seasons in NCEL Division One, the 2025–26 season delivered the greatest moment in the club's modern history — a play-off final win over Wakefield AFC in front of a record 1,617 crowd, earning promotion to the Northern Counties East League Premier Division for the very first time.
